Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long does it take to replace switches, dimmers, or sockets? In most cases, replacing a switch, dimmer, or socket takes around 15–30 minutes per point, provided the existing wiring is in good condition. If additional adjustments are required, the time may vary slightly.

2. How long does lamp installation take? Standard ceiling or wall light installation usually takes 10–15 minutes per fixture. More complex models or installations requiring additional mounting work may take longer.

3. At what ceiling height do you work? In most modern Berlin apartments, ceiling height is not an issue. In Altbau properties, we typically work comfortably up to around 3.2 metres. For higher ceilings, special arrangements can be discussed in advance.

4. Do you provide new cable installation for ovens or stoves? Yes. This is a common request, especially in older Berlin apartments where the existing electrical system may not support modern kitchen appliances. New ovens and cooktops often require higher power capacity, and older wiring or low-rated circuit breakers may not be sufficient. We can upgrade or prepare your kitchen wiring to safely accommodate new appliances.

5. Do you handle minor plumbing installations? Yes. We install and replace sinks, taps, toilets, and other standard plumbing fixtures. We also carry out adjustments or replacements of pipes when required during renovations.

6. Will electricity or water need to be shut off during the work? In most cases, interruptions are short and limited to the specific circuit or pipe being worked on. We always inform you in advance before any temporary shutdown.

7. Do you work in cooperation with licensed electricians and plumbers? Yes.
